I am 63 and have 2 indoor cats....yes I am a cat Lady! I am easy going and looking to move back down South as that is where I spent most of my life and miss it dreadfully. Any property will be considered, in the Southern Counties as long as I can have my cats with me, I don't drive so parking is not necessary, nor is a garden, just want to return to my roots. I have a 1 bed flat in a block of four, no garden but there is a yard that only I really bother with and have planted up with pots as no one else uses it., the communal bin and my recycling bin are there too. It's a roomy flat, first floor, stairs shallow and wide so not taxing on your knees. The hall is cleaned weekly and the entire block is kept clean and tidy, as is the surrounding area. There is a very good monitor entry system, view screen in flat so you can see who is at the door then let them in....if you want to! There is ample storage, three large cupboards, as shown, there is residents parking in a smaller car park, shown on photo of front room, with a larger one available for visitors. The Housing Association office is across the car park shown and the Housing Officer is there several times a week. I am desperate to move back to the South West, Dorset or surrounding Counties within reach of Dorset. I have two indoor cats so a pet friendly option is a must. The neighbours are quiet and friendly, there are busses running to Alfreton and Ripley, both nice Towns with good shopping, huge Tesco and great smaller shops, Nottingham and Derby are a bus ride away too if you need a City buzz, less than an hour away and the busses to all are regular and within a 3/4 minute walk. There is a Post Office in the Village and a Heron shop, hairdresser, fantastic local baker and kebab shop! I've not been able to decorate thoroughly, due to mobility, bad knees/ back but the kitchen and bathroom were painted last year. Walk in shower and spacious bathroom, I think, for a single flat. Bedroom is plenty big enough for a double bed and a very large wardrobe that I may have to leave if anyone wanted it as it was built on the spot and I'm not sure it would move well, could "swap" wardrobes? I've not carpeted but have rugs throughout as having pets I find carpets collect a lot of pet dander and fur so fresh canvas really for the right person who wants to make it their own. The Wi-Fi is great here, mobile is occasionally a little sketchy but I also have a land line. Thank you.
