My flat is ground floor with own front door and front garden, the back garden is shared but only I use it as the person above doesn't have a back door so never goes out the back of property it is more like a maisonette. I have my own back door which leads out to the garden which has trees at the back and provides lots of shade in the summer there's a lawn which the council comes and cuts once a fortnight or you can cut yourself if you prefer.
